Visiting the Museum with an assistant, without a tour guide
We offer the option to tour the Museum with the aid of audio description, allowing one to explore our exhibits through their sense of touch. Due to a lack of floor stripes, voice instructions and audio-guides, we offer the option of audio-descriptive touring only if the visitor is accompanied by an assistant. Visiting the Museum with an assistant is free of charge. The offer is open to individual visitors as well as to groups up to 12 participants during the tour time and date reserved by visitors. To help us best organise assistance for you, please let us know your needs at least two days ahead of your visit to the Museum.
Visiting the Museum with a tour guide
It is also possible to tour the Museum with a tour guide and an audio description of selected museum exhibits, as well as the possibility of exploring them by touch. The offer is open to individual visitors as well as groups up to 12 participants during the tour time and date reserved by visitors. To help us best organise assistance for you, please let us know your needs at least two days ahead of your visit to the Museum.
Educational workshops for children
Our offer for organised groups includes customised educational workshops to fit the needs of groups with blind participants and those with visual impairments. So far, we have successfully – and to the delight of both sides – customised the following workshops: “Christmas. A Special Time”, “In an Old School”, “Krakovians: Come, I’ll Tell You a Story”.
Remember that guide dogs are always welcome. If needed, you may ask the porter to provide a bowl of water for your dog.
