Find out who is eligible for free tickets, discounted tickets and special discounts.
Those eligible for a reduced fare ticket:
NOTE: Admission to the permanent exhibition is free on Tuesdays. Discounted ticket prices apply to temporary exhibitions on that day.
DISCOUNTED TICKET
Discounted tickets are available to citizens of Poland, European Union countries and EFTA countries (Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland) upon presentation of the relevant document.Those eligible for a reduced fare ticket:
- students in the education system
- teachers in schools and educational institutions, correctional facilities, shelters for minors, diagnostic and consultation centres
- students, doctoral students, students of teacher training institutions and social service colleges
- persons over 65 years of age, pensioners and disability pensioners
- persons awarded the ‘For the Care of Monuments’ badge, the ‘Distinguished Cultural Activist’ badge of honour, the ‘Distinguished for Polish Culture’ badge of honour or the honorary title ‘Distinguished for National Culture’
- persons with disabilities
- war veterans
- holders of an International Student Identity Card (ISIC)
Documents confirming eligibility:
- school ID cards, student ID cards, doctoral student ID cards, doctoral candidate ID cards
- pensioner ID cards
- ID cards documenting disability or degree of disability
- service cards issued to the following persons: teachers of primary schools, lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, art schools, teachers of educational and childcare institutions, correctional facilities, shelters for minors and diagnostic and consultation centres
- ID cards certifying the award of a badge, order or medal to the following persons: natural persons awarded the ‘For the Care of Monuments’ badge, the ‘Distinguished Cultural Activist’ honorary badge, the honorary badge ‘Meritorious for Polish Culture’ or the honorary title ‘Meritorious for National Culture’
- certificates or ID cards confirming veteran status
- documents confirming age
DISCOUNTS BASED ON AGREEMENTS
Discounts apply to admission tickets and fees for educational activities.- 30% discount – on participation in all educational activities organised by the Museum (for individual visitors)
- 50% discount – on admission tickets and educational activities for organised groups
- Krakow Family Card
- Large Family Card
- Krakow Card for Families with Disabled Children
FREE ADMISSION
The following citizens of Poland, European Union countries and EFTA countries (Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland) are exempt from fees upon presentation of the relevant document:- children under seven years of age – on the basis of a document confirming the child's age
- employees of museums entered in the State Register of Museums – on the basis of their service ID card
- PTTK guides and city guides – on the basis of their PTTK guide ID card or ID card issued by the Governor of Małopolska Province or the Marshal of Małopolska Province
- supervisors of organised groups
- media representatives – on the basis of a press card
- assistants to persons with disabilities
- members of PTL, museum employees, members of ICOM and ICOMOS – on the basis of a valid ICOM card
- natural persons awarded the Order of the White Eagle, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture, the badge ‘For the Care of Monuments’, ‘Distinguished Cultural Activist’, ‘Distinguished for Polish Culture’, ‘Distinguished for National Culture’
- students of Ethnology and Anthropology
- holders of the ‘Polish Card’
- veterans, disabled veterans, holders of anti-communist opposition activist ID cards or persons repressed for political reasons
- persons or groups of persons exempt from fees on the basis of a decision by the Museum Director
