Information about discounted and complimentary admission

Find out who is entitled to free tickets and reduced tickets, as well as special discounts.

FREE TICKETS are available to (upon showing relevant documents):
  • all guests visiting on Sunday – applies to the permanent exhibit and temporary exhibition “Siberia. Voices from the North”
  • children under the age of 7
  • member of the Polish Ethnological Society (PTL), museum employees, members of International Council of Museums (ICOM) and International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS)
  • students majoring in Ethnology or Anthropology who are citizens of Poland, citizens of member states of the European Union, and citizens of member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), i.e Norway, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Iceland
  • persons decorated with the Order of the White Eagle, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, the Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis, the badge “For Guardianship of Heritage”, “Distinguished Cultural Activist”, “Service to Polish Culture”, “Service to National Culture”,
  • holders of the “Pole’s Card”
  • veterans, injured veterans, holders of anti-communist opposition activist ID card, or persons repressed for political reasons
  • caretakers of people with disabilities
  • members of the media
  • persons or groups granted free entry by the Director of the Museum

REDUCED TICKETS are available to (upon showing relevant documents):
  • students of schools in the education system who are citizens of Poland, citizens of member states of the European Union, or citizens of member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), i.e Norway, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Iceland
  • ISIC – International Student Identity Card holders
  • teachers working in schools and institutions of the education system, youth detention centres, shelters for children, diagnostic-consultation centres operating in Poland, member states of the European Union, or member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), i.e Norway, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Iceland
  • university or doctoral students, students of teacher training centres and students of colleges for social services employees who are citizens of Poland, citizens of member states of the European Union, or citizens of member states of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA), i.e. Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Iceland
  • retirees and pensioners who are citizens of Poland, citizens of member states of the European Union, or citizens of member states of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA), i.e. Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Iceland
  • persons with disabilities
  • organised groups
  • veterans

With a BIG FAMILY CARD, KRAKOW FAMILY CARD 3+, KRAKOW CARD FOR FAMILIES WITH DISABLED CHILDREN, you are entitled to:

a 30% discount
  • on participation in all educational activities organised by the Museum (not dedicated to organised groups)
a 50% discount
  • on admission tickets for the permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions
  • for each participant of an organised group visiting the museum (guided tours) and for educational activities (for organised groups)
  • on each paid event organised by the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum of Kraków (admission ticket, workshops for organised groups, other workshops, guided tours)

#VisitKrakow programme

This programme lets you enjoy 20% discounts offered by its partners and will run until the end of 2021.

Discounts are available to holders of the #VisitKrakow card (you can get one by spending a night in Krakow in one of the partner facilities). In turn, residents of Krakow can use the programme by presenting one of the city cards: the Krakow Card (mobile or plastic), the Krakow Card for Families with a Disabled Child or Krakow Family Card 3+.

The Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum of Krakow invites you to take advantage of a 20% discount on regular and reduced tickets for the permanent exhibition:
regular ticker – PLN 12 (for holders of the Krakow Card and the #VisitKrakow Card entitled to a regular ticket)
reduced ticket – PLN 6.40 (for holders of the Krakow Card and the #VisitKrakow Card entitled to a reduced ticket)
on Sunday – admission free

NOTE: Discounts from City Cards do not stack with the discounts from the #VisitKrakow programme. At the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum of Krakow, holders of the Krakow Card for Families with a Disabled Child or the Krakow Family Card 3+ are offered a 50% discount on tickets regardless of the #VisitKrakow programme.
